Why do you do this?

In order to forget about yourself you have to give to others.

Joanne Hrynko

Caregiver of the Season - 2008 Spring: Joanne Hrynko

CaringTree Senior Care is blessed with some of the most wonderful caregivers and Joanne Hyrnko epitomizes our staff’s dedication and compassion which is why we have selected her as our Caregiver of the Season.

Joanne has spent her life helping people.  She is a LSW and was the Director of the Helwick House in Lakewood, a group home for girls, for 17 years.  Joanne then moved on to counseling families and individuals for Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services.

Joanne decided to become a caregiver after her experience caring for her mother and sister both who suffered from cerebral aneurisms.  “In order to forget about yourself you have to give to others” is Joanne’s favorite saying.
Currently, Joanne is wearing many “hats” for CaringTree in serving three distinctly different clients: one is a stroke victim in Parma who depends on her for personal care, the second client suffers from dementia and currently resides at Kemper House in Olmsted Falls and depends on Joanne to take him to church, bible study, doctor  appointments, and most importantly, companionship.   Finally, Joanne is assisting a very independent 89 year young woman who counts on her assistance to maintain her precious independence at home.

Joanne is always willing to go the extra mile and is truly a great representative of CaringTree’s commitment of being “An extension of your family’s care and compassion.”

CaringTree Senior Care employs only the best caregivers and they all recieve ongoing training

We are honored to recognize Joanne for her valued work as a caregiver and the humanity she brings to each person she serves.
